Journal of Vascular Surgery® is dedicated to the science and art of vascular surgery and aims to be the premier international journal of medical, endovascular and surgical care of vascular diseases. Since the first issue was released in 1984, the goal of the journal has been to improve the management of patients with vascular diseases by publishing relevant papers that report important medical, surgical and endovascular advances, test new hypotheses, and address current controversies. To achieve this goal, the Journal will publish original clinical and laboratory research studies, case series, reviews, guidelines and papers that comment on the social, economic, educational, ethical, legal, and political factors that relate to these aims. Alan Dardik is Professor of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine and focuses his vascular surgery practice at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.Dr Dardik is a surgeon-scientist who uses the power of molecular biology to achieve a modern understanding of vascular disease, using the basic science laboratory to ultimately benefit patients with vascular disease.
Dardik trained at Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Johns Hopkins Hospital before his appointment to the Yale faculty in 2001.
